Who This Is For

  • You've finished multiple scripts—maybe even sold or optioned some.
  • You're consistently writing, submitting, pitching, or trying to get read.
  • You're close enough to see the gap—but not yet inside the rooms where things actually move.
"Hollywood doesn't move through crowds. It moves through circles."

Why This Exists

The traditional path into this industry is isolating. You write alone. You pitch alone. You wait alone.

Talent isn't enough. Craft isn't enough. Hustle isn't enough.

You can keep submitting cold. Keep networking in public rooms. Keep waiting for a break.

Or you can move into smaller circles—where decisions actually get made.

What moves a career forward is proximity: To decision-makers. To working professionals. To other writers rising alongside you.

What Changes for You

After time inside the Lodge, you don't just "know more."

You start operating differently—because you're no longer outside the system trying to guess how it works.

Inside the Lodge:

01Your work becomes visible — not just finished, but in progress
02You understand how decisions are made — what gets read, passed on, or bought
03You see how projects move — and where your own work fits or falls short
04You build relationships through repeated proximity — not one-off networking

Over time, this compounds. Your work improves. Your conversations sharpen. Your relationships strengthen.

Opportunities begin to surface—because your work is seen, your name is known, and you're no longer entering rooms as a stranger.

"You're no longer circling the industry. You're participating in it."

How Careers Actually Move Inside

Careers don't move through information. They move through repeated proximity.

  • 01Your work becomes visible
  • 02Conversations turn into relationships
  • 03Relationships create access
  • 04Access creates opportunities

Not instantly. Not artificially. But predictably—because you're in the same rooms, with the same people, over time.

Hollywood Speakeasy is built on three things:

Direct Access

Ongoing conversations with people actively working in the industry: writers, producers, managers, executives.

Structured Visibility

Your work doesn't sit idle. It becomes known inside an intimate, curated circle as your industry visibility increases.

Weekly Momentum

Consistent progress through accountability and shared context. Show up. Write. Connect. Move Forward.

What's Included

Weekly

Backstage Pass

+

Most writers only see the finished product.

Inside, you see what happens in between.

You follow real Hollywood productions as they move through:

  • Draft to draft rewrites
  • Notes from producers and executives
  • Budget constraints and creative trade-offs
  • Packaging, financing, and positioning
  • What gets a project pushed forward—or quietly killed

This isn't theory. It's exposure to real decision-making—so you can recognize the same patterns in your own work.

Quarterly

Private Parties

+

Once a quarter, the community and industry connect.

You're invited into a curated, in-person gathering at private locations across Los Angeles—bringing writers and industry professionals into the same space, without the noise of public events.

Not a panel. Not a performance. A real conversation.

This is where proximity turns into familiarity—and familiarity turns into real relationships.

Attendance is limited.

Ongoing

Allegory: Off The Record

+

Private, candid conversations with writers, producers, showrunners, managers, and executives actively working inside the industry.

Inside these sessions, you hear:

  • What gets scripts read—and what gets ignored
  • Why projects get passed on (even when they're "good")
  • How writers get staffed, signed, or dropped
  • What buyers are really looking for right now

Every session is recorded and archived—so over time, you build a library of how the industry really operates, from the inside.

Weekly

The Table

+

A small, curated group of writers who know your work—and expect progress.

  • You share what moved
  • You name where you stalled
  • You commit to what happens next

This is where drift stops.

Members Only

Sidecar AI

+

An AI brainstorming tool built to ride alongside your writing process—not replace it.

  • Break through blank-page paralysis
  • Explore multiple story paths before committing
  • Test cause-and-effect, stakes, and reversals
  • Clarify structure before pages get precious

Sidecar is part of the Hollywood Speakeasy—available only to members inside the room.

Ongoing

Hollywood Hangs

+

Most writers don't burn out because they lack talent. They burn out because they do it alone.

Hollywood Hang is the informal layer—low-pressure time to be around other writers who are in it with you. Coffee. Screenings. Conversations.

Available to members in Los Angeles.

Monthly

Allegory Magazine

+

A monthly dispatch from inside the industry. Candid conversations with working writers, producers, and executives—focused on how careers actually move.

Included for members (also available separately).

Always On

The Lodge (Private Membership Hub)

+

This is where everything lives. Your private, always-on access point into Hollywood Speakeasy.

  • A full library of Off The Record conversations and recordings
  • Ongoing discussions with other members
  • The live calendar for all events, sessions, and experiences
  • A running feed of member wins—projects optioned, produced, staffed roles

Extended Experiences

Beyond the Lodge, members get access to in-person experiences designed to deepen relationships, expand perspective, and step further into the world of working writers.

Offered first—or exclusively—to members.

Allegory Conference

Our annual gathering of writers, producers, and industry professionals.

Members receive priority access and preferred seating—placing you closer to the conversations, people, and opportunities that shape the event.

This is the largest expression of the Allegory ecosystem—where online proximity becomes real-world connection at scale.

Wine Country Workshops

Small, themed workshops hosted at private wineries in Temecula, California.

Each session combines focused creative work, guided sessions with guest speakers, and informal time to connect in a relaxed, in-person setting.

Attendance is limited, and these are offered exclusively to Hollywood Speakeasy members.

Vagabond Writers' Retreats

Small, immersive retreats in unique locations around the world—designed for writers who want uninterrupted time to work, think, and connect.

The first takes place in Ireland, inside a historic castle—an environment built for deep creative focus and meaningful conversation.

Members receive first access to these experiences before they're opened more broadly.

Frequently Asked Questions

Most communities are built for volume. We're built for alignment. Every member is vetted. Every interaction is designed to create real proximity to working industry professionals—not just content about the industry.
No. While our in-person events are primarily LA-based, the core of the membership—weekly sessions, The Table, The Lodge, Sidecar AI, and our digital programming—is fully accessible from anywhere in the world.
The $144 one-time acceptance fee covers your onboarding, profile setup, Sidecar AI activation, and initial integration into the community. It's charged once, upon acceptance—not upon application.
You'll complete a brief application sharing your background, goals, and what you'd bring to the community. Applications are reviewed within 24–72 hours. We look for alignment, ambition, and generosity of spirit—not credits.
Monthly members can cancel anytime. Annual members commit to a 12-month term. In both cases, the acceptance fee is non-refundable—it reflects the investment we make in onboarding each new member.
Sidecar is our proprietary, members-only AI co-writing tool. It helps you brainstorm concepts, structure narratives, develop characters, and refine scripts. Built specifically for screenwriters, by screenwriters.
Charter Members are our first 100 founding members. They receive a permanent founding-rate lock, Charter badge, and priority access to all events and features. Once filled, this tier closes permanently.
